A Message from the President of Alliance Pediatrics

Dear Families of Alliance Pediatrics,

Over the last month, we have made many changes to our practice; in the way we do things as well as changes to our building, to really ensure the safety of our pediatric community and their families.

I am writing this letter to reassure you that your Pediatrician’s office, the place you have always felt comfortable bringing your precious family, is still the safe and friendly practice you know it to be.

As the American Academy of Pediatrics continues to recommend, well exams are still an important part of your child’s healthcare, even through this pandemic.  The important milestones, nutrition and physical exams help us make sure your child is growing and developing, and remaining up to date with vaccines is crucial in preventing outbreaks of other diseases.

We have modified our scheduling templates to provide an environment where only well children are seen for their well exams in the AM hours. We then allow a “buffer zone” in which telemedicine appointments take place to provide time for our well patients to leave the office before our sick appointments begin in the afternoon.

We have adopted telemedicine visits to align with the stay at home recommendations, which was new for our office, but I am happy to report it is going very well!  It is a joy to see the faces of our patients as we take care of their needs from their own home.  Appointments like medication rechecks, rashes, and other visits that we are able to do using this platform have all been transitioned to telemedicine and we look forward to continuing this service for the convenience of our families.

For our sick appointments, we are allowing patients to wait in their cars until their appointments are ready, and parents can text when they arrive so a nurse can escort them back to the exam room to follow social distancing rules.

While this is a very anxious time for most, we want you to know that we are here for you, to help guide you through this journey of parenthood!  We thank you for the opportunity to take care of your most valuable assets – your children.

Call to schedule your next appointment at 352-335-8888.

Wishes for good health,
