Children’s Advil Recall

The parent company of Advil, Pfizer Consumer Healthcare, has issued a voluntary recall of one lot of Children’s Advil Suspension bubble gum flavor in the 4oz bottle. The reason behind the recall is the provided measuring cup is marked in teaspoons while the label instructions  are given in milliliters(mL).  The company recall is to reduce the potential risk of overdose due to the mismatched measurements.

The most common symptoms associated with ibuprofen overdose include nausea, vomiting, headache, drowsiness, blurred vision, and dizziness.

*If you think your child may have taken more than the recommended dose but is not in distress call poison control at 800-222-1222. If your child is showing signs of distress or becomes unresponsive call 911
