Practice Covid Protocol updates

As our country begins to return to normal, Alliance Pediatrics will be resuming some of our office practices prior to the pandemic.

Scheduling

We will again begin offering Well Exams in the afternoon.  We will also offer sick visits in the mornings.

Check In

We will return to checking in through our Main Lobby entrance.  Those here for a well visit will sign in on the clipboard in the main lobby but will wait in our Well Room Lobby to be called by the nurse.  Sick visits will wait in the Main Lobby Entrance.

Text Messaging

Those sick visits that are being seen for fever and/or cough will be asked to remain in their car and text message our office that they have arrived, and the nurse will go out to the car and bring the patient directly into the exam room when it is ready.

Newborn visits and anyone else that feels most comfortable waiting in their car can also take advantage of the text messaging service.

Telemedicine

Many Health Insurance companies are no longer paying for telemedicine visits for things like ADHD Medication rechecks, Consults or other non-covid related visits.  We will still continue doing telemed visits using our Zoom platform for Covid Exposure or Potential Covid infection to protect both our staff and our patients.  These are continuing to be covered by Health Insurance Companies.

Masks

The CDC still states patients and staff must continue to wear masks in the healthcare setting, regardless of vaccination status.

Covid Testing

We will continue to offer Covid Testing done in the car, in the afternoons.  If you are needing a test done for clearance or to check for an active covid infection, please call our office to arrange testing through either a telemed visit or scheduling.

Covid Vaccines for patients 12 and up

Alliance Pediatrics is offering Covid Vaccines once a week on an afternoon shot clinic schedule.  If you are interested in receiving a covid vaccine, contact our office to schedule.  We are offering the Pfizer vaccine in our office.

We appreciate your cooperating with these new changes and wish you continued safety and good health!
