Our very own Dr. Kathy Sarantos (and husband, Surgeon Dr. Peter Sarantos) were the physician recipients of the 2015 Frist Humanitarian Award of HCA Hospitals, both regionally and nationally. Recognized for their ongoing support of charitable organizations, like World Help, a Christian Humanitarian Organization, as well as participation in medical missions and community sustainability efforts; the Sarantos’ have made helping others the focus of their lives. Most recently, she and Dr. Pete hosted a 5k/10k run here in Gainesville to raise money for relief efforts of the Syrian/Iraqi refugee crisis.
On May 16th, 2016 they traveled to the National Headquarters of HCA Hospitals in Nashville, TN to be honored at the HCA Awards of Distinction ceremony. Alliance Pediatrics is extremely fortunate to have such a giving and compassionate physician leading this practice. Great job, Dr. Kathy!
