As adults we tend to focus our new years resolutions on being healthy and fit. We usually include the family in on this goal as it’s important that our families are healthy as well but sometimes kids may have a different or additional resolutions in mind. The start of the new year is a great opportunity to learn some good habits and drop the bad habits. Take some time with your child to find out what they would like to improve on or help them work on getting over some old bad habits. Now might be a good time to help your youngster learn how to clean their room. Start by setting a goal to have them clean up their toys after playtime and then gradually add more in there such as making their bed when they wake up. A new years resolution for your toddler to tween aged child could be to communicate their feelings not only when they are happy but also when they are upset or stressed about something.
