We just wanted to update the Alliance Peds Family that we have a portion of our flu shot vaccine in for the Vaccines For Children Program (VFC)- Medicaid plans. We are still waiting on flu mist for both private and medicaid which leads us to theses next few questions,
Do the docs have a preference of the flu shot over the flu vaccine? Our doctors do not have preference. It is recommended that your child get either or but not both.
My child’s school is offering the flu mist, do you recommend we get it at school? The doctors fully support the school system in the flu mist vaccine program. It comes down to what you and your child are comfortable with. We are still expecting flu mist in October but if you prefer not to wait, the office fully supports getting the flu mist at school.
